Meet Tiph Berthomiere - Account Executive at The Missing Link
At The Missing Link, our people are what set us apart.
Their expertise, commitment, and care for what they do underpin the outcomes we deliver for our clients every day. But strong capability is only part of the story.
Through this series, we spotlight the individuals behind the work, the experiences, ambitions, and quirks that influence how they think and create.
Tiph’s journey into IT didn’t start in IT at all. Before moving into the field, she worked as a nanny, in a retirement home, as a dental assistant, and as a vet nurse.
During COVID, she reconnected with her interest in IT and has been in the field ever since, starting in cyber security and now working across infrastructure, cloud, and AI. Today, she brings that experience into her role as an Account Executive, building long-term relationships and becoming a trusted advisor to her clients.
Let’s take five minutes to get to know her better.
So Tiph, where did you grow up? What were your interests as a kid?
I grew up in rural-ish France, and as a kid, I loved Batman and playing SEGA with my dad.
What was your dream job growing up, and your first paid job?
My dream job as a kid was to be a psychologist to help people feel better.
My first paid job was with my dad, building car parts on an assembly line for an international brand, so it was a very different path from where I am today.
How has your career evolved?
Up until COVID, I was very much a jack of all trades. I wanted to try everything so I knew I’d enjoy what I do. I worked as a nanny, in a retirement home, as a dental assistant and as a vet nurse.
During COVID, I reconnected with my interest in IT, and that shift stuck. I’ve been in the field ever since, starting in cyber security and now working across infrastructure, cloud, and AI.

Any big personal or professional achievements?
Moving alone to Australia with just a backpack in 2012 was a big personal milestone.
Winning a D-Level World Championship in clay shooting in San Antonio in 2018, after only a year of practice, was another proud moment.
Work-wise, being selected for the Presidents’ Club in my first full financial year at Mimecast was a huge achievement. More recently, being seen as a trusted advisor by my clients has made me proudest.
What led you to join The Missing Link?
I used to work closely with The Missing Link’s Infrastructure team while I was at Mimecast, so making the jump was incredibly easy and stress-free.
What do you love most about your role?
I’m an Account Executive at The Missing Link, and the best part of my role is building long-lasting relationships with my clients and becoming a trusted advisor.
Where do you see yourself professionally in a few years?
Same place 🙂 I love my clients, I love what I do, and I’m excited to keep building on it and growing in the role.
Do you consider yourself a tech person? Do you have a favourite gadget?
I’m more of a nerd than a tech-freak, for example, I enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons and reading fantasy.
But I used to build my own PCs, and I’ve been thinking it might be time to get back into it. I’m also currently developing an app, so watch this space.
If money weren’t an issue, what would your dream day look like?
I’d get up at a less ungodly hour. I’d still run with my dog and train. I’d still talk IT and nerdy things as I do now, but I’d spend more time writing.

What can you usually be found doing on weekends?
Boxing, playing basketball, running with my dog, and then eating my weight in amazing food with my friends.
What are your hobbies, passions, or what makes you tick?
I’m a boxing nerd, my big fluff head is my baby, and writing makes me happy.
What would you say is the best thing about living in your city?
The mix of city life, with great food and museums, alongside easy access to beaches and walking trails.
