I started here as a Procurement Officer in 2009. I was originally unsure about the position, but Alex (our CEO) spent a long time convincing me it was the right career change, and I can say I’m still grateful for that conversation 14 years on.
Finding my passion in my skillset of interpersonal relationships, bossing people around organising people, and meeting deadlines and budgets, I sat my Prince2 exam and was promoted to Project Manager (PM). Recently, I became a Senior Project Manager and now manage the Security PMs.
I deliver upwards of 15 Implementation and Architecture projects at a time, while managing and coaching our next generation of PMs. The best part of my job is working with a variety of people and personalities. They are fun, hard-working, and decent. Plus, our visionary leaders are always one step ahead, so we’re never stagnant.
As you may have seen in my fun picture, I love wielding a mace and shield. I do this every Friday night, stepping into the world of Live Action Role Play (LARPing). There, I can detach from the reality of my everyday life, get a bit of exercise and dress up in some cool costumes. You may have even spotted me recently on a national ad campaign for Medibank
