One of my favourite quotes is from Dr Seuss: “How did it get so late so soon". And that’s exactly how I feel at the end of every day, because I just love what I do and time seems to fly. As Head of Security Consulting at The Missing Link, not only do I get to hack into some of the most (and least) advanced companies in Australia and around the world, I also get hands-on experience helping organisations strengthen their security, something that's always fascinated me.
When I reflect on my career, security has always been a major part of my life. I started by coding cryptographic libraries and tools at university before moving into security engineering and then security consulting. At The Missing Link, I've progressed from Security Consultant to Senior Consultant, Principal Consultant, and now Head of Security Consulting.
Although I’d sarcastically like to say that I single-handedly carry the whole company, the reality is I stand on the shoulders of giants, and I’m honoured to be part of this incredible team. This, along with my responsibility to help run and coordinate advanced security consulting projects and Red/Purple Teams, means I truly value my place at The Missing Link.
Life gets pretty hectic sometimes, so when I’m not at work I make it a priority to slow down, take a breather, enjoy life, smell the roses… and once recharged, party with friends! Or maybe some time with my favourite gadget: my non-stick frying pan!
The Missing Link acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
